Alright so I'm thinking about selling the Z . The car is stupid fast and soon to have a 6.0 instead of the 5.3 but in the few months I've had this car I've realized it's not what I need or want.
The reason I say this is that the car is a unibody it has a IRS and it makes for a insane canyon carver. But BUT ! I care to go fast in a straight line . I really don't want to put a solid axle in the car I really don't want to put a roll cage in the car and if I build the 408 stroker I want to I'm pretty sure it would crumple like a tin can. However with the current set up the car is PLENTY Powerful makes around 350 weighs around 2800 lbs.

Ha, its almost like we need to trade.
I went through a similar thought process about my Monte Carlo. It's big, fat, body on "frame" and doesn't really fit the mold of what i want a car to do. I want nimble, firm brakes and body a stick and plenty of grunt. Except for the last one, it fails on all accounts.
But I built this car with my dad, and I have lots of good memories in it. I decided to just keep it and go the invest all the money in the world into the suspension and lighten it with fiberglass and CF parts some time in the future when I make a bit more money.
Keep the car, you've come this far. You can beef up the IRS.

Oh no! If you decide to hold onto it until next year, I would be very interested. Bought a new to me car 3 months ago, but this would have been the top of my list if you were selling then :S

No more expensive than a built ford 9 in.
Find a V8 T-bird with the 8.8 IRS and make it fit.
You've come a long way, in my opinion too far to just punt and get a different car.

Want to drive to CO and swap for my 06 GTO? Still has IRS but its a good platform to go straight and fast. T56, LS2

Are you serious ? I'm not a big fan of GTO's but damn thats a good color for a goat. 817 - 600 - 8154 give me a call if you're serious.
