What're you guys' opinion on the 1990 Buick Reatta coupe? It's insanely heavy for a two-seater and slower than my LeSabre, but I better looking and the potential is there for a Series II drivetrain swap.

It clearly has the longest turning signal ever.

"better looking"
Uhm.... maybe. The LeSabre is kind of dorky, granted, but... eh... idk. The LeSabre just treats the proportions so much better and has a much more flowing surface language than that schizoprenic mess...

I'm sure they make a supercharger kit for it. Slap one of those on and you've got a fast, classy luxury coupe.

Like the 1990 Reatta. The 1990 Riviera was not nearly so nice as the final one.

DO EET NAOW.

But the '91 was the last year and that was insanely hard to find.

The '90-'91 are essential the same, right. Both got rid of the digital dash and have air bags and ABS?

Does it have the touchscreen CRT? This is important.

I think they're pretty darn nice. Plus, you can score them for a pretty cheap price. Granted, if you can find one that isn't completely trashed. Since it is smaller, you could Plasti-Dip it like the Murdersofa, and call it the Murderchair.

AFAIK, yes.

I like the Reatta a lot either way.

A friend of mine has one he'll sell me for $700. Needs suspension, though. Another $300 and he'll sell me an L67 series II supercharged 3800 w/transmission, subframe, computer, wiring, etc. to adapt to the Reatta's body.

I want to see that truck autocross.

I can see an RWD and LS conversion with a little splitter aero package... would make it work in the Reatta.

Looks like a Corvette and a Starion had a child and left it in the ghetto.

I'd show up to watch.

Then you'd have a understeering corvette because the engine would still be hanging out front :/

If you did get one, it must be called the Murderloveseat

I think they're beautifully styled cars, one of the most attractive models GM made at the time. Yeah, yeah, FWD and iffy build quality, but who cares about those details with a body like that?

Yes.

Hmm. Intriguing. Have you seen it in person? Most for $700 are rusted to hell and are electronic nightmares. How much suspension work does it need? If it isn't too much, and the car is clean enough, that entire package sounds like an awesome deal for $1k.
