"But bro, you clearly don't need the money, there is a Corvette behind it."

Pretty sure that's Lambo dude.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 21:58 |

Dude, the Lambo is clearly the green car beside it.

This ad has just the right amount of AutoX mentions in it.
Also, how haven't you sold your car yet, that's a NP

How much for the Viper?
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:01 |

Arg! So badly want... Here in Wichita too?!?! Sunnuva!
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:03 |

Actually, it's a Koeniggsegg.
It's in the photo. Clearly, because of that, by association, all the cars are mine then. Therefore, I should take $6000.
I guarantee someone will do that
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:04 |
|
Why? I know it will get it to show to more people but this just annoys me. Unless of course its got bits and pieces from all those cars in which case that is one hell of a frankenstein car. When I am searching for a specific car I would like the filter to actually do something. Other than that though the ad is pretty solid.

I've spent a lot of time with it and no basically every inch of the thing.
*know

Is the Viper included in the price?
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:09 |
|
Haha I'm not saying I have, I'm just not saying I haven't.
I'll just leave this out.
Part of it is my own thickheadedness selling it during the summer. I turned down offers of $11k in August. I'll just sell it for a bit less now. I'd rather be able to invest that money again and flip a couple more rather than have it stored all winter. But, if I don't get a decent price, I'm ok storing it and hiking the price up in spring.

I hate to criticize, but I hate when people put tags for vehicles other than what they are selling. It makes it so hard to search for what you want. Really straight car though, and I would easily murder several people to spend some quality time with the cars in that garage.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:11 |

It's a bit distasteful, but it actually works.
Thanks, they're really nice cars in there, but they're clearly not mine.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:11 |

Good call, I'll change that in a bit.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:12 |

Sure thing. The owner won't notice. Surely not
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:12 |

Dat timing murder though
Sounds Like a good idea. People love S2000s. I'm sure once summer comes around you'll sell it instantly.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:13 |

It's distasteful, I know, but it actually works. I did it on my BMW and sold it a week later. I've had people looking for Mustangs and Corvettes that texted me on it because of that.

maybe i'll grab the chally on the way out :)

Kelly Blue Book says it's worth $500 and a six pack of Bud Lite. You are literally Hitler for selling for more.

Other than the "no" instead of "know" in the last sentence it's a solid ad.
As for the tags; if people don't understand you can search by title text if you don't wanna see tags, that's their loss.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:19 |
|
That's about right. I have a friend who was threatened, because he wouldn't take the nutjobs low ball offer.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:20 |

In hindsight, I would've bought a Corvette instead. People LOVE them in the Midwest, but I still love the car.
It's a lot more fun than the Legacy GT I traded the kid for it. Turns out baby seats don't work in S2000's. Score for me, that guy got hosed on that deal.
Either way, I still might buy something else. I've really been wanting to get an STi, or another plain WRX is super cheap.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:23 |
|
Well you're the first one on my side on that one, so thank you. It's a shotgun approach, which is bad in every single marketing book, but fuck it. It's craigslist.

STI OR NOTHING
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:26 |
|
At least it isn't a beat-to-hell Grand Am with tags for M3s or similar.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:28 |
|
It's worked for me before, so I thought I'd give it a go again. Some people search not completely set on a car.
And it's actually got an LS1 running Vanos and Vtec, with AMG Supercharger, Mazdaspeed Turbocharger, Subaru Transaxle, Audi AWD, going to a Ford 9 inch.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:28 |
|
I still can't believe you wouldn't trade it for my Trans Am...
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:30 |

If that really was your TA, then 1. Holy shit 2. Sorry 3. Work on your manners, brah. 4. I guess I'm not in my right mind
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:31 |
|
Nah, I just thought that one was hilarious. His indignation when you said you didn't want it was fantastic. It'll smoke that S2000!
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:33 |
|
STI'S ARE EXPENSIVE. At least WRX's are sometimes listed with blown head gaskets or motors, etc. STI's never do that. If I find a fucked-up STI, I'm jumping on that like yesterday.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:38 |
|
It seems like all the fucked Subarus are not STis. I find that strange since their owners are not always the best people.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:40 |

Needs more RCR references.

That viper.. If you put that up for an ad one day let me know first dibs. I'm interested.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:57 |

But they've got the deeper pockets, so maybe they fix them.
A kid I don't like managed to buy one with a blown turbo that I helped him fix. It was at the Subaru dealer of all places, HOW CAN THEY NOT FIX THAT? I wish I could find one like that.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 22:58 |

I've got a deal with Brian Silvestro that once the car sells, I'm putting the video in the ad. So don't you worry.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:00 |
|
That's like the perfect find. I heard a story today about one dude buying like an '09 STi hatch with a blown motor for $6k with 58k miles on it. He then turned around and got it fixed under warranty because the warranty expires at 60k miles.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:01 |
|
It's not mine really. Sadly, I doubt he'll sell it. He bought it new and it's only got about 3200 miles. 02 Viper GTS. Who knows, I'm trying to sell his Porsche right now.
If you ask me, that's about 30,000 miles less than it should have.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:04 |
|
HAHAHAHA. That's the find I want. I'm honestly contemplating calling up the Subaru dealer tomorrow to see if they have any. Most likely not, but it'll be funny to me to insult them like that.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:06 |
|
DO IT
It sucks that STis hold their value so well.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:10 |

Wow so many nice pics, a detailed description, proper grammar.
This has to be a scam.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:21 |

I resent that.

BRIAN IS THE RCR GUY?
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:24 |

I'll trade you a Dodge Ram, a Grand Am, a gaming computer, a roommate, and a cat.
The cat makes a great cellphone case!
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:26 |

Dat beat-to-hell Grand Am doe.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:33 |

tempted to slap this on the side.
Yep, that's a Nissan Largo Highway Star. Factory graphics package.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:38 |

I'd be disappointed if you didn't.
![]() 11/02/2014 at 23:47 |

Ah, you got me. Damn meddling kids.
![]() 11/03/2014 at 06:51 |

I'd give that a NP.
![]() 11/03/2014 at 06:55 |
|
That's how a craigslist ad should be done! Your only problem is the top. I don't know how many S2000's are for sale in your area, but if they are priced similar (but with a good top), most buyers will buy the other one(s). That or they will want to negotiate down $2k to cover the cost of a new top. I also would suggest a new battery tie down. It's kind of letting the rest of the engine bay down. Would be $10 well spent IMO.
![]() 11/03/2014 at 08:58 |
|
The top is busted on the 01 for sale in my area, and he wants $12.5k. The one with a good top is an 05 turbo for $22k. I might just buy a new one for like $400 and be done with it.
I've been meaning to do the battery tie down since day one. I'll just take it off and paint it black. It's not even money, it's just the time and remembering to do it.
![]() 11/03/2014 at 09:17 |
|
Would be $400 well spent. Most people aren't going to be able to replace it themselves, and you know how much the labor is.
![]() 11/03/2014 at 11:17 |

Deal.
![]() 11/04/2014 at 12:40 |

Thanks man.
Well it's still for sale if you change your mind.
