love the Thunderbirds have them all on DVD. Just bought the Disney Tailspin series for my little man too. Not enough good aviation scifi stuff out there anymore that's not anime.

Sky Crawlers has some pretty epic plane "pron", but the plot and flow is painfully slow. And yeah, not really a 5yo's movie

Nice. I'll have to give it a shot, can't be any worse than sky captain when it comes to plot. If you're into the plane pron check out return to base its essentially the Korean Top Gun. It's great cheese and streaming on Netflix. It's got a sweet ass Korean pop sound track to rival Kenny's songs on Top Gun.
