But luckily for me, the fruits of such labour has turn out rather well. It's good to get a day off work and just unleash the inner creativity.
Thought I'd share. I'm drawing these to build up my portfolio for an application to a design university. I have no formal training in design whatsoever.
Thoughts?

These are fantastic holy shit. Especially that bmw thing at the top. Concept for a new z4 m coupe or something I'm guessing? Ahhhh I want it. And no formal training at all? I can't even draw a damn circle that doesn't look like newt gingrich's head. Keep this shit up for sure!

How careative of you!

Good drawings by Oppo standards. But if you're applying for trans design, then you better work on your ellipses for the wheels and tires and line weights; they need to be smooth as one confident stroke. Also for sketches, you can imply objects by using the "less is more" approach. Hope this helps. And good luck on your application.
BTW, I didn't do these... I found them on the googles.

Should I? No, this is a man's art... But it's traditional... But it's a jerk move... Buuuut that's never stopped me before.
Your art is very, very good. You could probably sell it online.

The angles on the second one are way off. But I totally agree about my ellipses, however, they're not bad considering...
Thanks for the tips!

You're an excellent artist! I can't draw for beans.

It's like a BMW FF. Besides the fact I don't really like the FF, this is a great piece.

Well better than everything I turn out when I try to sketch something multidimensional. Thing is I'm obsessed with realistic proportions, so I'd never be satisfied with them anyway.

I too have been sketching all day, now I have a headache. darn development sketches.... "oh yeah, new Corvair will be fun." eating them words now. at least i don't think i will have to take it as far as an alias model, but then again may eat them words too. REally nice sketches though, I enjoy your choice of perspectives. keep it up!

Very nice! I wish I could draw like that.

It's actually perfect. Forget the M2, make thisssss.

Definitely stepped up since the last ones! I think you need to loosen up on the wheels, and like others have mentioned, ellipses and perspectives. The top sketch is really getting somewhere, though. Worry less about tires and clearance, there's a reason car sketches have wheels that fill the arches and rubber band tires. Unless it's an off-roader, don't worry about em. But you're getting the forms down pretty well, especially in the top one. Digging the bottom one, too, though it also has the Lego wheels going on. Nice, man. Keep it up.

Good stuff. Well done.

The addition of off road tires on the bottom one was deliberately done. Thanks so much for your help and critique. I'll keep practicing! Thanks!

They're really nice actually, I love this kind of stuff, but the viper looks a bit more cartoony too me, but they all look really great!

Yeah, I was really talking about the viper sketch, that's the one where it's hurting you the most, though the bottom one could use a little more clearance to fit the feel of an off-road racy vehicle, and a little more wheel diameter. I didn't word that very well.
But, overall, you're doing well; line quality is good, just need more confidence with them. That only comes with practice, of course.

I Know dem feels. You have good sense of proportion, How long have you been drawing?

Very nice work. Only put pieces in your portfolio that you're really proud of. Quality > quantity, but both is best. Keep at it!

Thank you. I've been drawing since I was 2 or 3.

These look great, man. Keep up the practice, and I'm sure you'll have no problem getting into the school you want. Maybe diversify your portfolio a little bit into other areas.
If you wanna stick to vehicular, try doing interiors and their components, scripts, logos, brand identities, garages, accessories... Off the top of my head. Keep us posted, m'kay. :)
