Sad news. My prayers go to the family and friends of the pilot. Godspeed and God bless.
Side note: I had no idea the military contracted out aggressor fighters. It makes perfect sense, it just never occurred to me. The Hunter was probably a great target, too. Small, fast on the deck, maneuverable. Probably fairly representative of what a Navy aviator might encounter in many parts of the world.
