I'm watching Ghostbusters while doing layout for one of our publications today and I came to the conclusion that our good pals Ray, Egon, and Venkman (and later Winston) are total Jalops.
To wit: Listen to the laundry list of needed work Ray rattles off when he shows up in the sweet 1959 Cadillac/Miller-Meteor brown, diesel, manua l wagon he picked up for a cool (actually a lot for 1984) $4,800.
Totally Jalop.

He paid the equivalent of $11,000 today, I know classic ambulances have gone up a bit in value over the past 30 years, but that does seem like a lot given all the work it needed. I guess they did save some, in that Ray did all the work himself, and it was the mortgage on his parents' house that paid for everything anyway.

That's a wagon like a cemetery is a hotel.

I think it is Ackroyd. All you need to do is look at this scene.
