How does one comfortably shift gears?
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:22 |

I saw the thumbnail and begged for the duck shifter not to be real...
but dat steering wheel tho.

Only if you're the type of person comfortable strangling geese.

Oh, it's totally real.
I don't get why people swap steering wheels on S2000. It's easily the best steering wheel I've ever used. It's like tortilla sized, I'm not joking.

The extreme irony is that in order to install that steering wheel, he removed THE ONE FUCKING PART THAT'S SUPPOSED TO ACTUALLY HONK.
That goose shifter is too legit to quit though.

He shifts as fast as shit through a goose.

795kg and 110bhp = tons of fun mate :)
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:46 |

I'd like that if it weren't for the stupid shifter. Needs a white knob to match the wheel.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:47 |
|
Does anyone know what kind of wheel that is?
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:47 |
|
It looks like a ton of fun actually, I just doubt there's one within 500 miles of me.
And for the tiny amount of money I have in the Honda, I can't complain.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:49 |

I actually kind of like the shifter in a novelty item sort of way. I don't really like Aflac nowadays. Their commercials are getting on to be a bit blasé.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:51 |

I want it to make sounds every time there is a shift
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:51 |

Let's just say I can't buy me a Morgan either ;P I've got a '96 Ford Fiesta with a 2.0 litre engine from a Ford Mondeo (134 HP) right now... goes like stink, handles like muck :P

I like my elise momo wheel more than the s wheel. I will say I absolutely hate the horn placement on the momo wheel though.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:52 |

A bad one in my opinion. The stock S2000 wheel is fantastic. Same with the stock shifter. Better than any wheels I've used before.
This is mine.

Torque McTorqueSteer?
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:57 |
|
Is it not in the middle?
I've sat in a couple Exiges; I think it's an even smaller wheel than the S2000, but I've never driven one further than 50 ft.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:57 |
|
Indeed, but the oversteer when one let go of the throttle is actually the main problem.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 23:09 |
|
Sure, but I don't have an S2000 and I sort of like how that wheel looks.
![]() 10/27/2014 at 23:18 |
|
If you can see it is where the palms wrap on the top side of the wheel. You know where my hands go when I'm on the track or autox. Right there, you know what happens if I forget to pull the horn fuse before I race. I'm beepy mcbeepster during sharp turns.
![]() 10/28/2014 at 00:09 |
|
THAT'S why I heard a couple horn beeps from them at autocross. I thought they just kept hitting the center on accident.
Call it a character flaw.

I knew a Buddhist guy who got pissed at a Canadian goose that was in front of his office building, so he grabbed it by the neck and choked it out. True story. HR couldn't do much because he was the boss.

The shifter is a tap handle for goose island beer
![]() 10/28/2014 at 09:21 |
|
Is that a Goose Island Beer tap? I mean, I might put a Budweiser tap on the shifter of my beat up diesel chevy if I lived in the South and was married to my sister... but this? No.

I'm sorry but movie cars are automatically cool.
![]() 10/28/2014 at 22:44 |

Maybe I'm going against the grain here... But why does everybody replace their factory wheels for ones without an airbag? I get that it looks cool. I really do. But safety still fits in here somewhere... Doesn't it?

NRG makes those. Like $90 on Amazon, depending on color and trim. I had one with black billet spokes/black suede wheel on my old Legacy. They make decent boss kits and quick releases too.
