Browsing CL, and I come across this 944. Now, if this guy is serious, it is a major NP for $1500. Yet, I feel like he would never sell a car this nice looking for so cheap. I've seen basket case 944s for only a bit cheaper. The car looks pretty original to me. So, if you ask me, I think he either screwed up his price, or he is looking to scam someone. What do you guys think? If it is not a scam, one of you guys needs to pick this thing up.
EDIT: Sorry, here's the link. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Wet photos are normally hiding some sort of paint imperfection or fade. Just an FYI.

probably not a scam. not sure where you're located but by me it's not exactly the perfect time to sell these, as we're going into the winter. Around this time last year I bought my 944 in very well working condition for $1750. If the car looks clean and it's what you're looking for I would go for it.

Ah, good point. Never really thought of that. I would love to check it out, but I can't afford a third car. Would be cool to see if another Opponaut bought it, though.
Got pics of your 944? I'm not a huge Porsche fan, but I've always found the 944 to be interesting.

Very good point. Should've considered that.

That would be cool! Yeah, nice not to see the Craigslist thumb for once. I would love to see someone go check it out.

No way that car only has 38000 miles for 1500
![]() 10/27/2014 at 22:31 |

This is an insane price.
A Canadian car would be at least 5k.

Damn, sorry for all your misfortunes with it. Otherwise, that looks like a really nice 944, especially for $1750!
And, yeah, that's what I'm saying. I was assuming that it was actually 138,000 or so. If so, then the price would seem more justifiable.

I'm with you on this one. If my '84 cost me $3200 with 118k miles, how does that one have 38k miles at $1500??

Buy it! Come over here and buy it! And check out my NPoCP 944 edition I just posted; mind you, I live 30-40 minutes away from the OP.

Nah. I figured I'd post it on Oppo, since it seemed like a great deal. If I wanted one, though, I'd deeply consider checking this one out. I just can't afford it.

No worries, if you ever want to buy one, you know I'm not too far away, I'll help you in your search. And if you want a ride in mine, ask and I'll see if I've got time. :)

Cool! I appreciate the offer. Maybe when I get a little more expendable income, I'll consider it. And I might have to take you up on that ride sometime.
