What are the "fatstangs?"

The 71-73 models.

Ok because I was going to question how you didn't like the Boss 429.

I'm not a fan of the 71-73's as they are just huge.

They are big but they are slick looking.

Oh neither am I. I also don't think they are as beautiful as their relatives from the '60s.

They got too torino looking.

I agree.

That's my problem too. Mustangs just shouldn'y have 7 foot long hoods.

Huge is a relative term. The 71-73 cars are similar in spec to a 70 Camaro and almost identical to the XB GT Falcon that everyone covets from Mad Max.

If you ever get to ride in one equipped with a 4-speed, 3.50 T-Loc rear end and a 351C engine, you might change your mind. I had a 73' BITD and with only a carb change, a set of headers and L60-15 rear street tires difference from stock, it came within literally 6" from outrunning a built strip only Chevelle with slicks. It was big, fat and heavy for a Mustang, but it ran great.
