And the only reason I have my laptop is because it's an Audi. I am replacing spark plugs first before moving on to the brakes.

Sadly I got family visiting so I gotta do shit with them and car gets to sit for another weekend. Possibly last nice weekend we have before it gets nasty cold too.

Yep. 2 oil changes and front brakes for me this weekend!

No I'm in drivers ed stuck behind a god damn Case harvester. With a cold. I envy you.

:(
Do you have to work on it outside? Because that in the winter isn't fun.

Grinding rust out of the MR2, and I need to patch two spots on the floorboard. If productive, I should be able to at least get it primed by the end of the weekend

Yup. Going to junkyard shortly.

I have a garage...non heated so might as well be outside.

Just got back from the hardware store. I needed new license plate bolts since the old ones are stripped and rusted. Ive only been able to get one off, so I might have to break out the drill. I also got new wiper blades and i plan on getting an inspection sticker before noon. The new mr2 might finally see some pavement today!

I live in an apartment - no garage to be in :(

What do you otherwise need to get?

Weeellll, nope. I gotta fix my flood lights and somehow I broke my muffler and then chasing down about a thousand other rattles and squeaks and seeing what's up with them. All in the parking lot outside my dorm while people stare at me...

Be happy it's not "I have to find a way to patch this wiring harness on a mid to late 90s German car with brittle wiring and insulation."
Because I had to do that after the coolant level sensor harness decided it wasn't going to stay together anymore. So I bridged the harness and that is that. No more low coolant warning.
It's a race car, so you should be watching that stuff anyway.

a mid to late 90s German car with brittle wiring and insulation
Dear god no!! I'm happy cause it's mid 80s Japanese wiring!!

In the 80s, the wiring harness on most Benzes weighed as much as the car did. Then the eco-weenies came along and they switched to wiring that gets brittle with age, and insulation that squirrels love to munch on.

There's always "That Corner" of the parking lot...

Cases aren't exactly bad if you like heavy machinery.
Although I believe drivers ed should be more car control school than anything else.

I got a heat control module.

Sounds more interesting than replacing spark plugs and dealing with the idiot brakes on the S4.
I am so tired. I flew in last night from my week trip for work, and I've got to fly to Orlando tonight at 11PM for work.
I need sleep.

I see. I'm going to cook and stuff then I'll make a post about my junkyard stuff so you can keep an eye out for that if you want.

I like most things with an engine. So it was cool. Until we were behind it for 30 minutes. Yeah. It wasn't too bad but I have a cold so that sucked. And I got a bag of skittles so...

This is what I got. The Cavaliers dashboard is a pita to get off.

I wasn't gonna be, I was going to be at a car show. But my throttle linkage just broke as I was starting the car to go to said car show, so...I guess I'll be looking at that today.
