So a few days ago, I noticed this sound coming from the car. I thought something was wrong, but I just pushed to the back of my head. I drove the car yesterday AND today, it makes this noise, but only when it has warmed up and only at idle. Once you are past 1000rpms the sound is gone. It sounds really strange.
It doesn't sound like a bad bearing, plus their is no oil pressure issues. Do you think it has to do with the fuel I am using? I can only get fuel with ethanol in it. No knocking and the car runs fine as well. This is really damn annoying and it has me insanely stressed.

Go to 5:45 mark - clearly, Dick Van Dyke is hiding in your boot:

Electronic fan? A video of the engine idling might help.

No can do. You can't even hear it from the engine bay. The wheel well you can hear it, but this is the place where the noise is loudest. Don't think the fans were running but I might be wrong.

Haha, I had a runny nose! I had to do it! Also, if you want to play a youtube video from a certain point. You can pause it (let's say at 5:44) and right click on the video. It will then ask you to copy URL or copy URL at current time, select the second option! It makes video sharing even better! Skip the unimportant stuff and get right to the point!

No audio here... What's it sound like?

Not quite sure how to explain it, it sounds like a diesel truck. I am told it is the sound of the DI, but this seemed to have come up after the cold weather came around. Like I said it only happens at idle, and can't even be heard from the outside.
I was looking at all the numbers and everything is fine. Nothing has changed since last time.

I'm not sure, but my DI pump makes a bit of clacking noise that I was really worried about though it's apparently a non-issue. It seems to come and go, and the crickets are pretty much constant and cover it up now. I feel like it's much louder when it's cold outside, like you noticed. I also noticed that the clacking/ticking noise I hear is louder inside the car than anywhere else. It's possibly the same thing, I'll have to watch the video when I get home.
On a side note, my JDL header should be here within the next couple of weeks. :)
