price seems fair but miles are high and corners are crunched, you need to ditch the picture of the seat out and tools laying around. First thing that says to me is it has lots of problems, not worth the hassle. I wouldn't even read the AD after I saw that. Next take several good quality shots of the car. Show as much of the car as you can in each shot. No need for closeups. Try the Ad with good pictures, if no bites drop the price to $1950.

Great ad if you're trying to sell to us, or a model-specific forum or something, but way TMI for general sale. To most people, telling them about all the work you did implies that there's much more you didn't do.

Also I'll add that when I first saw the pics I thought both sides were crunched in the rear. May have something to with one pic being green and the other blue. Also try using a little rubbing compound to get the white paint off the crunchy section.

One of my good friends did this on his Ram 1500. They're hilarious to blare when driving through crowded parking lots. It freaks the living hell out of people.

I would buy that if I were going to buy something right now. But I'm not, so I fixed it for you.
Use short easy shit like a buzzfeed listicle:

It's almost like when one of us on Oppo finds a listing for a car but the pictures are all missing a certain angle of the car. It seems like there's something bad!

In that case, it's pretty great.

There's one guy who shows up at my local car meet and ALWAYS blares his train horn and rolls coal over the crowd. One time said crowd included a baby in a stroller, and that shit is just too much. If I ever see him parked elsewhere, I'm letting the air out of his tires or something.

If I were to give you a tip: I love that this ad is very informative, but its alot to read. If I were in the market to buy your car, I'd skip this ad because its long. Leave something for the buyer to ask about when he/she comes to see the car in person. Be informative while still leaving the buyer with questions to ask.

Short and sweet seems to work. Once people get a bit interested in a car they tend to be at least slightly invested in it, so they're much less likely to walk away because of something they don't like if they had to phone you up to find out about it than if they could read it in the ad. I wouldn't list the mileage, just put 'high'. I'm not even sure you want to mention the upgrades, because they imply the car has been, er, driven hard.

How about:

Subaru Outback with train horn, full service history*, very good mechanical condition, slight dent on rear quarter hence low price. Great runner. Call for details.

Then give a bunch of photos, not of the car in pieces :)

*This is Craigslist. If it turns out that it's a full verbal history, caveat emptor.
