Nice! I wish I had thought of that.

Now I'm not the first person to come to the defense of cats, I think they are selfish and heartless disease ridden worms wrapped up in attractive packages.
thats all.

I hope this didn't damper the kitten's day.

I was a cat owner once, for about 2 weeks, to an adorable little stray named Paul
But then we gave her away to a lovely family.

I've never had a cat, but friends do. They're entertaining.

I would twist it out kinda like getting a cork out of a bottle. Of course then you might have two cats.

Poor Cat Stuck in Spring
I can think of worse seasons to be stuck in.

During that whole video I was expecting that flimsy block of wood to split. That shit's scary, yo.

This is classist! How do you know it's not a rich cat? It can afford coilovers yo...

That's one of my favorite GIFs.

I didn't know what was going to happen when I watched it. I was so glad it ended happily.

The brilliant thing about that gif is the the total traction fail that makes it so funny. But it wasn't funny when I had the same experience. I guess it's better to be watching than experiencing.

It's not an experience I ever want to have.

It's a good thing they noticed it. Otherwise when they drove off the cat would've come out of the spring like a Johnny Cash song.

*groan* That's terrible!

My dad and I once drove 3 miles with our cat perched precariously on the rear differential of his '92 Chevy K2500. Not intentionally, mind you - the cat thought a differential would be a great place for a nap.
When we got to our destination, we heard the cat SCREAMING under the truck. It was physically fine, but most assuredly traumatized. It jumped off the diff and ran into the nearby woods. It sat at the edge of the woods for 3 hours meowing in a panicked tone before my mom was able to get it to come out and she took it home.

Your poor cat! Unbelievable that it didn't jump or fall off during the drive. I bet it never did it again.

It wouldn't get within 10 feet of the truck for a month

I would imagine so.

We had another cat that rode for a half-mile on the trunklid of our Volvo 740 Turbo sedan. We didn't notice it at first until we heard the meowing and saw it pressed tightly against the rear window. That was just on the street by the house - 25mph zone. When we got to the stop sign, the cat jumped off and walked home.

Indeed. It's a "what I *know*" event becoming "hey, holy shit, I *didn't* know !that!" event. Discouraging. And... truth be told, a "hey all y'all, watch this" type situation.
