Does anyone here use them? Am I the only person with weird hands that don't line up with the knuckle holes?

Kinja'd!!!

I personally think they look cool, but I can never find any that fit me.

I dont have holes in mine, no need. Mine are calfskin with cashmere lining. They do the trick fine

I want to wear some! But I'm afraid that it will make the Police think that I am planning to OJ Simpson someone. No one wears them around these parts.

I wear them because I'm a douche, but also to protect my steering wheel and to insulate my hand from my aluminum shifter knob.

I would love to own one, but driving a four speed auto 150hp french boat, I would look stupid.

I actually really want a pair to be honest. My problem is that the wheel in the magnum is a somewhat slippery leather, and the wheel on the SL is polished wood. It would make a massive difference if I had a good pair of gloves. I think that's what I want for christmas this year....

that and some coilovers...

I use them when driving the BMW. They help with grip on the wooden wheel a little bit, but mostly I just think they look cool. And mine don't have knuckle holes so I can't help you there. I don't really see the need for them. My dad has had a couple pairs forever, and only one has knuckle holes. As long as there's some perforation so your hands don't sweat to death, you're good to go.

Mine are black Lowly Gentlemen gloves. I ordered two and returned the pair that didn't fit, and the company was great about returns. They're comfortable as hell, look great, and Magnus Walker wears 'em!

I don't wear them because my only friend who does looks like a massive poser when he does and scared me away.

I'll probably pick up some insulated ones before this winter.

Good reasoning. My steering wheel is getting a little shiny. Maybe I should take the plunge.

I just bought a pair of nice brown ones to complete my Drive costume(Read: an excuse to buy gloves and a scorpion jacket) and I'm pretty excited. I've always thought they looked badass and they're a lot more practical for winter driving than full gauntlet ski gloves.

My hands are huge, so I can't find any that fit either.

I don't wear driving gloves. But in winter, I definitely wear gloves. I have two pairs:

1. Thinsulate-d leather gloves that keep hands sorta warm and let me move my fingers freely and grip things easily.

2. Fleece gloves with less dexterity and range of motion, but they're warmer, and have smartphone-compatible fingertips.

As badly as I've wanted to buy a set of driving gloves, they'd spend more time keeping my glovebox warm... however, for AutoX, I tried a few sets and ended up buying a nice pair of batting gloves .. i scoffed at the idea at first, but - super skin tight yet soft leather, doesn't diminish nimble feel, almost feels surgical in comparison to any other set I've worn... don't knock it till you try it!

Definitely nice for the wintertime.

But otherwise when doing some real driving, leather gloves give an excellent grip on the wheel without having to squeeze. Also as a bonus it keeps the sun off your hands (seriously, ever get those weird hand-sunburns from a longer day of driving? So weird).

I have a pair that I am very fond of. I was about two thirds of the way through rebuilding my Z and we took a vacation that included a trip to Venice. Neither my wife nor I are big souvenir people (we travel extremely light), and usually pick one, maybe two things each we'd like to get on a big trip. Italy is known for many great things, but I wasn't going to schlep a car or a bicycle home in my backpack, so I decided to indulge in their reputation for nice leather work. I purchased a pair of black leather driving gloves that fit perfectly. I also made a deal with myself that I couldn't wear them until I finished the car (running, insured, and fully registered and plated). It was a nice extra motivational bump. I keep them in the center console compartment and use them on fun drives (I use SFI rated gloves for the track). They work nicely with the leather-covered wheel, and no sweat issues in our summer heat. I'm sure some folks think it's kind of douchey (especially here, where "dressed up" means wearing your nice jeans) but I'm at a point where I don't care, and it's difficult to see in to the car anyway. Every time I drive with them, I smile at the memories of a great trip with my wife and the fun of restoring and driving that car.
