With the possible exception of the Golf, FR-S and Fiat 500. Prove me wrong? EDIT: I'm wrong a lot, you guys reminded me about Mazdas.

Okay, maybe not a Titanium model like the one pictured, but still. A base Fusion is less than $25k

I stand by my stetement. The atomic guppy is a fun car to drive (Best FWD I ever drove) but the looks from the rear are downright awkward.

Good call. I've never seen one in person so I'll hold judgement until then. New Mazdas are not bad looking at all.

I think my Versa is attractive for $14k.

I was just quoted $23,500 out the door for a Touring with a stick.

I'm willing to say the hatch is beautiful, after seeing them a decent amount in person.

2015 Camaro disagrees.

How about now?

Much better but I'm just stubborn. To me, the beltline is too high and there's an awkward space between the tail-light and the reflector. It's all opinion but it's just not good looking to me.

Base model Seat Leon is slightly over $19k in Germany.

Atomic guppy?! That's the best name I've ever heard for it.

Just had a family member and a friend both shop 3's both went in looking for a hatch, both left with sedans. Both times I decried their choice, both times very good arguments were made against the hatch. I've blocked them mostly all out of my memory, because they were anti-hatchback sentiments, but they made sense at the time. Mostly they boiled down to the fact that benefits of the hatch were not very appreciable (not really all that much more usable space), at least not to off set the added weight and out compromises in the interior.
They are very nice cars though, I'm very impressed when I drive my sister-in-law's 3 Grand Touring.

There there little ST. You're still the most athletic kid in your grade.

Not on sale in the US, so I'm not sure if it counts, but the Vauxhall Corsa! Mine's the one on the right, set me back about £11,000. Smiley little chap.

The Fiat 500 is your exception?
Bro, what pipe are you smoking?!
'Ugly' is a strong word anyways. I don't think any VW compacts are ugly, but they are pretty bland.

Well at least there's that. For $25k, you'll always have to compromise. Ford just compromised in all the right places.

I like the new Cooper.
Not to mention the VW Golf, Jetta, Mazda 3, 6, Ford Fiesta (ST), Honda Accord (Sedan), Fiat 500, Abarth, etc.

way too much front end for me...too much overhang

gtis aren't bad looking, they sure as hell are not challenging, polarizing or even sharp looking however.

i don't think VW has made anything "polarizing" in the last 15 years. lol. Maaaye the first gen Eos.

Except in states that require front plates, then the car is ruined

I disagree.....this is my 18,800 dollar Elantra.
Is it ugly?
Maybe, but every car looks better with a mountain bike strapped to it :-)

nice Aston Martin

To be fair, there's a lot of ugly new cars that are well over $25k

On the other hand, you could not shut me up about how awful the Amanti was. Here's hoping they've all been crushed, or rusted away.
![]() 10/26/2014 at 19:02 |

I admire the Amanti, it was even used by presidents, it might have looked awful but it served it's purpose as affordable luxury incredibly.

The late Maybachs, especially the two-tone ones, still are excruciating to look at ... and here in Manhattan, I see more than a few of them.

That's a really bad 2-tone.

Saw one near Columbus Circle that was black and a sort-of copper. So awful that I forgot I could take a photo with my phone.
