It really depends on who you share that institution with. Some people get married and think that they no longer have to put any effort into the relationship.

I believe it was Lou Costello who said "Marriage is a three ring circus. The engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffer-ring"

I only made it as far as the first ring. Then I got a game over. Back to square 1!

Brother, I've been married for 24 years, and that's an extremely insightful comment. Getting married doesn't signal the end of courtship. It's easy to love somebody, but it's harder to be in love. That takes work. And if you're unwilling to do the work, don't take the job.

Married a year and a half. It's been wonderful. Not easy at times, but wonderful nonetheless.

I have another awesome Groucho quote thats relevant to this photo:

"Outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend, inside of a dog its too dark to read"

When I was a kid, living in Chicago in the early '70s, WGN still showed episodes of You Bet Your Life, an old game show that Groucho hosted. It was very funny, and sometimes a bit risque for its time. On one of the shows, there was a contestant who told Groucho that she had nine children (or some crazy number like that). Groucho asked her why she had so many kids, and she replied, "Well, I love my husband." Groucho didn't miss a beat and said, "Lady, I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while." To this day, it remains one of the loudest, longest studio audience laughs in TV history.

Almost 3 months here. Dealing with an ongoing challenge (money) but wouldn't trade it for the winning Powerball ticket.
