everytime one of these pops up I say the same things. They're still true

I don't like foreign cars (big 3 only please, despite their screw ups at times)

i don't like diesels

and i have no desire to drive a stick shift (though I certainly know how)

My MkIV Golf just turned over 200k miles, the interior has gone to shit, but I still love it. There's something to be said about a car that is both paid for and still runs.

I am over 213,000 on my Jetta GLI. I don't know what people are complaining about. I said earlier that if Alfa Romeo were around and produced stuff like VW put on the market in the 90's-00's people would be singing from the roof tops about Alfa quality.

I really like our minivan. It's a 2003 Odyssey, and it's actually a pleasure to drive. Lots of room, decent stereo, comfortable seats, room the family and all our crap. Driven from TX to both coasts, no problems. Eminently practical, and actually a nice drive.

I'm okay with it, so long as you aren't doing it on someone... That isn't a cyclist or didn't deserve it. I would never own a truck with a smoke tune, but a built diesel is going to smoke.

It is the 2003 GLI with the 24v VR6 and the close ratio 6sp manual. Absolutely brutal little car. Still on the OG clutch as well. I had a 1.8 turbo before this one. I do miss the whoosh of the turbo but NOTHING outside of Alfa V-6 makes such wonderful noise.
