I have a severe peanut allergy and Ive been finding peanut shells in my backyard. Its dangerous for me to be in my backyard right now. I just looked out my window, and saw that my next door neighbors have squirrel feeder full of whole peanuts. This is incredibly dangerous for me. If I come into any sort of contact with peanuts, I will go into anaphylactic shock and I will become Cyanotic. I have to talk to my neighbors, but this freaks me out. They wont be home until 5pm or 4 hours from now.

Do your neighbors like you? If so, let them know and how the squirrels are plotting against you as long as they have peanuts to work with.

peanut allergy is due to inhalation of the powder or by ingestion of the peanut itself. Touching it shouldn't be an issue if you wash your hands thoroughly.

Don't you have to ingest the peanuts themselves before you go into shock? It's probably not an airborn thing either, so I don't think you'll die from just being in your peanut-shelled backyard.

You know what you have to do

They dont hate me. but theyre kind annoying health nuts. They "xeriscaped" their front yard. they did it themselves and they did it really badly. Their yard looks like a forest of flowers and bushes. I have feeling they would take offense to us asking them to take down their feeder, for they "wont be giving back to nature" if they take it down.
![]() 10/21/2014 at 15:25 |

Don't ask them to take down the feeder, just ask them to put something other than peanuts in it, for obvious reasons.

My allergy is pretty bad. If I touch them I break out in hives, If I touch any orifice after that, Im dead. And Im gonna wanna rub my eyes or itch to the bleeding point if I have hives. So ya Anaphylaxis

Just ask if they can put pistachios or almonds or something in it. If they don't comply, don some gloves and do it yourself.

The hell is "xeriscaped"?
![]() 10/21/2014 at 15:26 |

I get a skin reaction from peanuts, so its just a hop, skip and a jump before I rub my eyes and its in my bloodstream
![]() 10/21/2014 at 15:28 |

If they're health nuts, they should freak out and be a lot better about it.

Im allergic to pistachios too, but not almonds. I'll suggest that

Last weekend a scout touched a knife that had peanut butter on it and her skin broke out in a rash even after washing. If she had ingested any we would have had to shoot her full of Epinephrine.

Hopefully, but their also just plain nuts

Xeriscaping is the use of low-water plants for decoration instead of grass.

...but you have to touch them first before all that, right? If so, It's considerably less scary than you're making it out to be, unless your backyard is literally an ocean of peanut shells.
You should still talk to the neighbors about giving the squirrels something other than peanuts, but it's not like the peanut sniper is perched outside waiting to send you to the ER at a moment's notice...

Except they left the giant crab apple tree in the middle of their yard, so their effort to save water was kinda pointless. They just made their yard ugly

If their all over my yard, I can accidentally come into contact with them

Oh. I see. We just use rocks.

I can honestly say this is the first time I can recall anyone posting on Oppo about a real and tangible threat to their life from squirrels. I won't laugh, but it *is* hard not to, viewed that way.

I totally get it. Ive had this allergy all my life, sometimes its as much funny as it is scary. Although it made me a magnet for bullies.Once someone put peanut butter all over the wall next to my bus seat back in middle school. We were on a field trip on a farm, so If I went into anaphylactic shock (thankfully I didnt) It would have been difficult to get me to the ER

It shouldn't be a big problem. Just let them know the severity of your allergies and ask if they can use an alternative. I don't think they would like to have the possibility of hospitalizing a neighbor on their conscious. Then again this is the real world we live in and some people are just plain psychos.

stop being allergic to peanuts then. Simple.
Do I have to think for you?

that memes 10 years old

Asking someone to "stop being allergic to peanuts" is like asking the queen of england to "forget how to speak english"

I accidently stopped at "we would have had to shoot her". Totally different outcome!

I dont think its possible for you to be more stupid.
You actually didnt understand this blindingly obvious joke.
![]() 10/21/2014 at 20:46 |

How is that funny?
![]() 10/22/2014 at 12:49 |

Thats subjective, but you'd have to be mind numbingly stupid to not realise that it was one.
Dear god.

"Rule #1: don't be a dick."
What part of that is so hard for you to understand?
![]() 10/25/2014 at 20:14 |
|
I made an obvious joke, whether you found that funny is not relevant, it was obvious to any toddler it was a joke.
If someone is so stupid to not understand its a joke, thats not my problem, nor is it me being a dick, its someone being a simpleton.
![]() 10/25/2014 at 20:41 |

Uh, no. You were being an outright dick to him. There was NO reason to call him stupid, you could have just let it go.
![]() 10/25/2014 at 20:56 |

there was a reason to call him stupid.
He was being stupid. Why should idiots get a free pass? This isnt special school where everyone gets an apple for counting to potato.
![]() 10/25/2014 at 20:57 |

Do I really need to point out the irony of you not understanding how calling someone stupid is being a dick to them?
![]() 10/25/2014 at 21:04 |

Not if its stone cold fact. Which it is absolutely is. Thats called stating facts. Its not an unwarranted attack.
And thats the bottom line.
![]() 10/25/2014 at 21:08 |

Dude, ENOUGH. No matter what you say, your behavior is not justifiable. If you can't follow the rules you don't belong here. PERIOD.

Lol, look at the hardman telling me what to do. Ill do whatever I please, thanks.
While we're at it, this thread is about squirrels and peanuts, the fucking idiot cant even keep to basic premise of the place: CARS. No one gives a shit if hes so much of a fag talking to people 'freaks him out', go to some autism website for that shit, talk about cars on here, thanks.
![]() 10/25/2014 at 21:18 |

Again, the irony of someone calling another person stupid. IT'S AN OFF-TOPIC FORUM.

Comes up on the main feed, some fag whining about having to talk to another human being. I want to see cars, not a basement dweller being weird.
