I lusted for an Eames for months, now I own one. (Or will when it arrives)

But will you use it? I wanted a set of Breuer chairs in leather for a good long time, but wondered how freaked out I'd be actually owning them.

Ohhhhhh yes!
I'm a huge mcm fan and really want an Eames lounge chair when I get my own place to myself.

It will be used a lot, I needed a better place to listen to jazz and smoke pipe other than my old wingback chair.

The one I got is original but refurbished and has Brazilian Rosewood (I hope). I only wish I was that handy at fixing things.

I hate you. I've been lusting after an Eames for years. I occasionally go visit my mom at work just so I can sit in the Eames that's there. Alas, they cost more than I can afford right now and I don't really have the space for one.

The good thing is that it fits almost all environments and decoration styles, so it will always look good! Tell us when you get yours.

For all the times I think I'm the chair-lounging, jazz-listening, pipe-smoking type, I end up doing twice as much drunken shit-talking, cigar-smoking, beer-drinking, alt-country-listening in my garage. So I passed on the museum furniture.

Sometimes you need relaxing, and I can't think of anything better than an Eames to drink Suntory on.

Nice. Before I clicked on your post, I thought "for relaxing times, make it Suntory time."

It was unnecessary spending and I'm more than sure I can't afford it. But these things are rare, especially original ones. I'm a happy moneyless man.

One of my all time favorite movies.

money aint everything. As long as you have your obligations taken care of you can rest easy in your Eames :)

Plus this things only go up in value, so If needs be (Citroen breaks down) I can sell it, but probably never will.

Oddly enough, this makes me want to go buy a bottle of Suntory™, (now a Jim Beam brand!) but I suppose some Johnnie Walker black would do in a pinch.

Real but refurbished. I have never been this excited about something!

The cost more than I can afford too, but it was so pretty and rare and I love it. Happiness has no price.

I really want an LCW. There used to be one on display at the Denver Art Museum. I was so bummed when they took that exhibit down recently. I love Eames' stuff, my school has a whole wall dedicated to him

I have a soft spot for furniture and interior design. Couple friends of mine own knock-off LCWs, it might be my next purchase, that or a Montenapoleone sideboard.

Awesome! I grew up with one in the house and at my grandparents. Loved it, I hope to inherit one and buy one for myself as well.
