Don't you have a Russian submarine to go look for?

We're officially neutral on the issue of the missing Russian sub.

Good luck fella. You guys (and gals) are often over this way (R.A.F. Spadeadam) training so give me a heads up and I'll shout you a pint.

Last time I was in the army (ten years ago) we had some brits with us as well as some people from Holland/Netherlands (some sort of NATO winter thingy), they had beer.. we loved them :P So yeah, I'll give a shout if I get the job.

Fingers crossed for you fella.

Ye', our guys and gals have been over your way (one of the places they go) for winter training for a very long time now and you've got to have something to keep you warm. :)

Keep us warm? Ahh.. Keep THEM warm, yeah I understand that :) Last time I wore more than a long sleeved t-shirt was a few years ago when we had -36 celsius or something here :P

Us northerners (myself) are used to the cold. Cold and wet that is. The southerners are more prone to the cold than us northern-monkeys. I used to be known as the 'crazy Englander' in the Nederlands for going to work in shorts and tea shirt even in the winter.

A brisk day makes you feel alive.

There's no missing Russian ubåt. Russia has said none are missing and they don't tell lies. Do they?

Ahh.. you're a northener :) Where from? (The Dutch called me "Wim Hof", he's some sort of semi famous dutchman he could withstand extreme cold).

Lol. I'm a couple of miles south of the Scottish border. I actually look like the missing link from ape to neandertal man (except my head where as one colleague once put it, everyday you get more face to wash'. They don't tell you in school that as you get older you will lose the hair on top but that it will reappear in your nose and ears) so I won't be feeling cold anytime soon unless I start malting.

Where are you?

I want to go up to Tromso some time to see where 9 and 617 Sqn sank the Tirpitz.

I love WWII history.

I'm actually rather far south in Norway, I live in Hamar (130km north north-east of Oslo), not hairy at all I just don't get cold.. :P

A couple of miles south of the Scottish border tho' that could be anything from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Carlisle (I've got a few friends from England, and according to one of them Birmingham is almost Leicester and just outside London :P)

I'm in Carlisle. I should of said a couple of miles south of the Scottish border on the M6.

You're not far from Lillehammer then.

Ye', some people aren't all that good at geography. It's a bug of mine that Chester is classed as being in the 'north west', even though it's 140 miles south of Carlisle and 'the north' and 'north east' is Newcastle and generally Northumberland. But I don't care I live in the most beautiful county of them all, Cumbria.

AD MONTES OCULOS LEVAVI ,

I lifted my eyes to the mountains.

We have quite a strong connection with Norwegian vikings which shows in our blood and dialect.

I'm 45 minutes south of Lillehammer, but don't you dare compare me with them blaggards :P That's like asking a West-Ham supporter if he likes Millwall (Well, not that bad, but you get the idea).

Anywho, Carlisle is quite gorgous indeed, only been there once, but I'd go again :)

Nice. :)

It's changed quite a bit in Carlisle but the rest of the county is pretty much as nature intended. Your more than welcome anytime fella.

I'll wish you a goodnight fella. I'm off to work. As I've always said 'I don't mind going to work, it's the eight hour wait to come home that's the killer'.
