I've seen multiple elderly couples drive these here in South Florida. I've also seen a woman in her late 60s driving a Golf R. Her own Golf R.

Where I come from, small hatchbacks are the old person car of choice, though they tend to opt for Vauxhalls and Skodas and the like.

It's like a 60 ish year old ladys house I rode past. She was getting in a Abarth 500, so I raised a fist and shouted "abarth!"
