I like this line. I think you can find it on some bentleys but "mirrored". Don't know how to express myself... It's not making this upwards swing but going straight down and then to the middle of the car. Nevermind, you don't have to understand what I'm saying...

Ha! That's good.. I'm not sure which line you're talking about, since captions aren't exactly... exact.

The one right beneath the headlight that comes from the side of the car. Here's a Brooklands coupe that has the line beneath the headlamps:

But maybe I'm seeing ghosts.

Ah, I think I get it. Yeah, I went with 2 headlights instead of 4 (I hate the goggle-eyed look), and carried the fender crease from the shoulder down through the headlight to a point next to the mouth, emphasizing the vertical rather than the horizontal.

...if that makes sense

If you hadn't said Bentley, I could've sworn this was a modern take on the Shelby Cobra. I love it :D

Hahaha, well... I still have a thing for Cobras. The proportions aren't right for a Cobra on this one (too big), but here's the one I did at Ford back in 2002. I still draw that fucker.

Man those sketches look badass, really love it! If only a kit car company *cough factory five cough* would make that and sell it along side the classic style cobras.

Any chance you have something related to the Daytona Coupe? :D

Thanks. I'd love to get FFR to build a new one, hahahhaha.

I don't have any Daytona things, but maybe I'll do one of those next time. For a while there I was doing sketch request threads, but having a child seriously cut into any time i might have had for it.

(BTW, i keep starring your comments in the hopes that it'll get you out of the grey, not sure if it works)

Its out of the grey, thanks!

I bet it would sell like hot cakes. It would be the younger generations' Shelby Cobra. If you could go back and make changes to it, what would it be?

Also any tips on drawing 3/4 view? I can not, for the life of me, to get the proportion right. Always end up with one end looking good while the other look like I was having a seizure lol.

That's a pretty common beginner mistake. Like that Denver kid who spams his sketches— he draws bananas. Really, the best practice? Sketch boxes. long boxes, short boxes, stacked boxes...

Then, once you get boxes, start doing circles and ellipses.

Then combine them.

Seriously, though, you have to draw thousands before you get one right. And even once you start getting them right, you can still get them wrong. I still do.

Guess its time for me to learn the basics, since I never really get to learn how to draw properly (self taught, not bragging). Im just got so use to doing side profiles for so long that when I go and try 3/4, its like I'm back at square one. Well I know what I'll be doing tonight. :)

Here's a picture I'm working on at the moment and it is a 69 Torino. Hopefully one day I can do a 3/4 of it.

Not a bad start at all! The thing about drawing is that, really, everyone is self-taught. No one can really "teach" you much of anything, you can only learn it by doing it.

These are actually really good, in that you're drawing BIG. That's one of the most important things. It really helps you learn how to move your arm in sweeps, and lets you really see what's going on. Keep going!
