So I might slowly be falling in love with my rental Mustang. It is the exact opposite of how I would equip my own, V6, convertible, cloth seats, and automatic. Despite these huge 'issues' I am loving every minute that I'm in it. It's got plenty of power and it slides all about when you want it to!
I think in the future I could be a Mustang guy and that kinda scares me..

Mustang is an awesome car. I was a hardcore import fanboy and bought a '14 GT and it's the most fun i've ever had in a car.

I do want to join the club.. But I must remember when I get home I have plenty of FiSTing to do and I can't be distracted by the pretty pony.

I had never driven one until two days ago. I can already see one as a possibility as a future car.

Get home and get to that FiSTing.

Now imagine how much better it would be with a v8 and Mr. Manuel

Do you live in the US?

They are not a car to buy if you don't want to see your car everywhere. I have a white one and i've seen a couple around where I work that look exactly the same.
However aftermarket parts are ridiculously common and inexpensive because they are so mass produced. Plus everyone knows how to work on them if you have issues you can't resolve. Which I haven't had yet.

come to the Gran Torino side. We are now more exclusive then ferrai

Negative, I'm an American and I live in Germany. I am just in the States for business.

I wouldn't really mind seeing others around, exclusivity doesn't really bother me.
And a strong aftermarket is always good!

Do they sell the Mustang in Germany?

I could order one from the on-base dealership and there are a ton of used ones from the other Americans out there.

Soon.

I think I could get a decent trade-in on the FiST..

Dafuq is that floating box?

You should definitely trade the FiST for a 2011+ Mustang. I have a '13 5.0 Manuel and it is a blast to drive.

lol I didn't even notice that. #Illuminati

I like the v6. It gets better mpg but still has over 300 horsepowers. I almost wish they didn't make a v8 so the v6 wouldn't be so underrated.
I also like the new turbo 4.

The V6 definitely has enough power but, the V8 would be better..

I could see why. But I don't think I'd really want to own the v8. I just feel it would have a better life not being used as a DD.
I've also not a big mustang fan (but ecoboost intrigues me). Also inline means less head gaskets to replace.

I used to like the SN95 when I was a kid but I haven't really liked any of them since but I also hadn't driven one. But you're right, the V6 would be plenty for everyday use.

Here's my baby, I love every bit of it. The revs , the rise in speed from 2nd to third (manual stick shift). Love driving this car everyday. My only quips: wish it had bluetooth(this is the base model :( ) , wish the cup holder was designed , when full, so as to not interfere with stick shifting and had better wheels than I currently have

This is my 2014. Fuel consumption is surprisingly low, there's more than enough power, and my son rides in the back everyday. I looked at FiST last year and they were more expensive.
