A Classified ad for Chevrolet Camaro SS 350 made in 1969. But the problem is, the price is soooo cheap (Roughly 3000 USD) that it triggers my red alert. Do you think this car is really a Camaro?
What do you think, guys?
Oh, NP?
Here's the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Probably is a Camaro, probably isn't an SS.

It's probably worth about ten times that.

Wow, it's a 4 speed! Probably not a real SS, but for that price it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, probably. I never seen this car in a real life so i have no idea what is this.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 07:08 |

Yeah, 4-speed.
And i kinda think that's true, people will believe that it's an SS anyway.

Yep.

Well, how good is $3000 for a regular Camaro? I rather doubt it's one, and I'm not sure if you can get someone who can tell Camaros apart well where you are to get this looked at.

GM brought back this instrument cluster for the 2010 Camaro. crazy.

Watch out for the rust monster!

Well, i guess i'll tell my brother to look at it and reports with the VIN, and maybe i can ask for oppo help since there's no such thing as Camaro Club in Indonesia.

Rust? Thanks!

It's probably cheaper to buy this and import it back into the States than buy one here...
![]() 10/14/2014 at 07:44 |
|
Maybe. I believe it'll cost less than 10 grand to do that.

I think it's way too good looking for the price. I have been looking for early Camaros lately and I think that around $15000-20000 would be suitable price for this.

1.) Trim tag looks like it was off the car at one point.
2.) Ad says Chevrolet Lumina.
3.) Ad says 4.6L engine
Maybe an error?
![]() 10/14/2014 at 07:53 |

Yeah, that's why it triggers my red alert.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 07:53 |

Maybe. I can accept the Lumina error though, but the engine it's weird.

I would always be wary about ads where the asking price is really low like that, usually 3000 US dollars get's you a rolling shell of a camaro, that if you're lucky doesn't have serious rust. The car is definitely a camaro, but it might be a scam. For that price though, you have to check it out to at least see if it is legit. My assumption though is that it's too good to be true.

I know, but..
I find another one:

I guess i'll check it anyway.

What is the currency for Indonesia?
![]() 10/14/2014 at 08:13 |

Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)
1 USD is roughly 12k IDR.

That's a damn good price, even if it is an SS clone, it looks pretty clean

It is a Camaro. If it is a SS and in pretty good shape they should want much more than $3,000 USD. You can't find a rusty hulk for less than that. I think the published asking price was typed incorrectly.

M,aybe. But i've tell my brother to check it out.

A quick google image search turns this up:

You could probably try to contact the guy to see if he still has the car. If not, and it's a legit ad, at least you have some history. Let us know how this turns out!

Well, thanks for than man.
I've tell my brother to contact him, but so far no replies.
