So I just landed here in America and got my rental car which they were so nice to upgrade from a Versa to a white, 2013, automatic, convertible, V6 Mustang.
This will be a fun month.
And I'll get pictures tomorrow when there is light.

Well, that is the first legit upgrade I've seen from a rental car company.

I got an upgrade from a Hyundai i10 to a Citroen DS3 once, that was nice.

Nice! When we were in the deep south of Mexico (Guatemalan Border almost) we wantes to rent a midsizer. We got to this place calles Tuxtla Gutierres in the state of Chiapas (look it up, its a jungle!) and to the Hertz desk.
"Oh yeah, we dont have any cars."
Dad: "But, we have a reservation"
Lady: "Yeah, the computer reservations aren't official"
Dad: "What?!"
Man from Thrifty: "Well, I have these 2":
We chose the Renault. Boy was it exciting.

Mandatory burnouts at every stoplight, stop sign, crosswalk, etc. Traction control off and roof down at all times.

Hertz has fucked me before, I was supposed to get a Mercedes A180 and they gave me a diesel, manual Hyundai ix35 instead. But it was actually probably better than the Merc would've been

Holy crap thats a difference!

Oh yes, they say the base diesel in the Mercedes is a Renault engine. A Bad Renault engine.

Reminds me of talking to an Aussie who came to watch V8SC the one year they ran at COTA. He rented a big american car (charger), picked up mcdonalds via drive thru and ate in the car on his way to the track. AMERICAN LIFE!

It won't knock your socks off, but they aren't nearly as bad as people make them.

V6 Mustang? You know you could of got like... 1 V6 Mustang for that V6 Mustang.

I'll have fun with it for sure.

Just remember that it produces 280 lb/ft of torque at 4,250 RPM and you don't have to pay for new tires. Also get the full insurance.

It was all paid by work so I have the insurance and all that.
But yes there will be burnouts, many, many burnout.s

That is one hell of an upgrade! Enjoy your month with the international standard unit of car price measurement.

![]() 10/13/2014 at 07:38 |
