Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 4

Evening all.

Just returned from a very damp Brands Hatch in Kent, for the season finale of the British Touring Car championship. Bar 1 race, the entire day was brilliant fun, and absolutely flew by. Really great racing, lots of action, some great driving, and as you can see from the photos, some, um, not so great...

Very wet for the last race, to the point they shortened it by 3 laps, (removing the 3 added by safety cars) which was a very wise move, as the rain only got worse, and it was getting dark.

Anyways, Nuff words, Picture time:

That first corner mayhem was awful, looks like you got one of the best vantage points on it, all of the TV coverage was from behind.

Yeah Paddock Hill is often pretty interesting, but today just seemed that everyone had the end of term feeling, so was just going for it. We stayed there for the whole day, rather than moving, because we had a great view, and then a TV screen to see the rest of the track too :D

2 cars, with all 4 wheels in the air in 2 separate crashes on the first lap of race 1 of 3. Pretty hectic ha.

TV commentators blamed it on one side of the track being damper than the other, thus there was a speed differential between cars.

Paddock Hill is probably the most reliable corner in Britain to have a massive pile-up, it's fun enough in racing games.

I would also suggest sheddon arriving backwards in the corner from fourth was likely to have bad consequences for people further back.

Yeah paddock hill does seem to be pretty reliable on some form of chaos being caused.
