Close to 30,000 mile out of the cheap factory Kumhos Nexens isn't bad. However, I think it might be time for some new wheels. What do y'all think?
Not mine, but I think that the 97 cobra wheels will look pretty damn good.

Some of the best tyres I've ever had were on my old Focus; Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's, and if I could get hold of them for any of my current vehicles I would! Excellent dry and wet weather handling, good water displacement, medium to good wear characteristics, low road noise. Never really felt on the edge of the tyres limit during 'spirited' driving

What type of Kia are you driving? I found that Ebay is a good source for tires, after several years of going through the Tire Rack, which I think is easier to navigate than Ebay, however.

30,000 is pretty damn early to be scrapping tires.

From what I've seen, that's not the case for OEM or factory tires.

Crummy econo tires, wouldn't surprise me. Or maybe Whitetrashsteve likes to do nightly burnouts

30k miles is what, 2-3 years? By then they'd be cracking and turtling up, replacing just seems wise at that point
Then again what do I know. I've never had less than 3 sets of tires in a year

Weird. When we had that 2010 Prius, the original tires lasted a little more than 3 years and 38k miles. We got rid of it 30k later and it needed new tires due to bubbles.
These energy-saving/eco tires are fucking terrible. No sidewall and bubble prone. The first set got bubbles too.

I'm a sucker for those wheels. If I ever do a 5 lug conversion on my fox body Cougar, those will be what goes on it.

I'm not 17 anymore. No burnouts in the soul.
