Here is the great white north we can still get a 2.5L 2015 Legacy with a 6 speed manual, but is it a good buy? Has anyone had a Legacy or has driven the 2015 to us give some feedback? How fun to drive would one say it would be, in comparison to something like an Accord Sport?

I drove a 2015 2.5I with the CVT. And it was pretty nice. Having also driven the Accord I can tell you the AWD makes a huge difference. The Legacy feels much more planted and confident. I enjoyed it a lot. I just didn't like the CVT all too much

I didn't think this car was still offered in manual. I want to see a picture of that third pedal.

Goodstuff! My wife just bought a 2015 Forester I can also attest to the fact that the AWD makes a huge difference even in everyday driving; you literally never lose traction. Want to turn around a corner at speed? If you're driven something FWD, you normally ease off or risk spinning the tires or exhibit some slip. Not in the Forester, plant you're foot on the gas, pitch it into the turn and come out the other side faster.

The CVT isn't half bad, but I imagine the Legacy being quite fun in stick. Decent power and AWD grip for days = a nice hoon-mobile. I know the Accord is faster, but the Legacy has it trumped when it comes to all-weather traction. I hope it sells well and gets some aftermarket support.

Best that is available online is a shot of the stick:

Kinja'd!!!

It's only available in Canada, not the US anymore.

Oh, OK. I didn't know you were referring to Canada in the post.

Funny enough, after reading all of the reviews and looking at all the stats I thought, on paper, for sure the Mazda CX-5 was going to be our next CUV; but then we went to the Subaru dealership. The Forester has a much better ride than the CX-5, interior quality was better (mind you we're not looking for an iPod in the dash but appreciate quality materials) and the AWD system instills confidence not found in the Mazda.

We've had it a little over a week and we both love it. We got the 2.5i Touring Package, which comes with the sunroof, which is freaking enormous! The seats are quite supportive, lumbar support is a wonderful thing. We're still under the 1k km mark, but we're averaging 8.2L/100km (28.7 MPG) in mixed driving. I just drove a twisty bit of 80km/h road for about 80km last night and saw 6.7L/100km (35.1MPG).

The only bad thing I've found to complain about is that the radio doesn't stay on for a fixed amount of time after turning off the vehicle (our previous cars would have them stay on for ~10min or until we got out of the car). When you turn off the car, the radio goes off. That's really looking hard for faults though.

All-in-all, the Forester just feels inherently solid. I was shocked that it beat out the CX-5, but it just felt better, it just feels more "expensive" (partially because it was more expensive lol).

The 9-speed/4 cyl. combo on the Cherokee is worse than something with a CVT.
