I was under the impression this was RWD. Misleading door-gap. What cars have fooled you into thinking they were RWD in the past?

Before I jot into cars I always thought this generation impala was rwd.

I can say I'm guilty of the same thing. Same thing with the Cadillac DTS.

Before I really started to get into cars, I thought the last generation of the Mitsubishi Eclipse was RWD. I was disappointed when I found out it was FWD.

That too.

The first time I saw a del Sol I thought it was mid-engined. Imagine my disappointment.

Fact is, all Eclipses that aren't AWD are FWD.

Misleading door gap? What does that mean. Misleading dash to axle ratio I could see...

I should have known better given the ginormous front overhang.

No kidding. How did you think I felt when I saw the old Legend?

I know this. I thought, fast coupe looking cat must be RWD.

I've been aware of that for a while now, LOL.
Now, I'd like to know where in MD I can find a 1st- or 2nd-gen Eclipse that hasn't crankwalked.

Well, the space between the back of the wheel arch and the front of the door opening.

The old Chrysler 300c had a V6 mounted in this configuration.

Huh, ain't that some shit. Thing is, there's clearly enough room to do it properly, Fiero-style.

Ok. Generally that's referred to as the dash-to-axle ratio. The more you know, the more you grow and all that... http://m.autoblog.com/2013/08/13/das…

Would you believe that this full-sized, late 60's American car is RWD? Cause it's not.
On a related note, I always assumed the MN12 Thunderbird was FWD, simply because all other contemporary large coupes were.

Honda prelude. I saw one for the first time and thought, a nice ls swap would work....aw crap fwd. I also thought the old saab 900 classic was rwd.

The Honda Prelude I was aware of. Mainly because it's been talked about on Oppo before. The Saab I did not know about.
