Parking like an asshole is like aggressive driving: they are counting on the fact that most people are good and decent, defensive, and really don't want to burden themselves with danger or drama. The payoff of parking like an asshole is greater than the cost of one or two dirty glares from the poor people. And the payoff of aggressive driving is effectively controlling other drivers with your dangerous moves and getting Starbucks seventeen seconds sooner than you otherwise would have. I guess the only drawbacks are collisions, deaths, tickets, and general depravity, caused by the all-to common phenomenon of what people will do when they are not required to look directly in the face of those they burden for personal gain.
