I know the 'America' version of Ferrari's GT has traditionally been just a modification on the base car, but...this is still an F12 with a body kit. A gorgeous body kit of course, but a body kit still, and that isn't worth as much as a P1 or an F70 (not calling it by that other dumb name), even if you can only get 10 of them in one country.

When they announced that america was getting it's own multi-million dollar Ferrari, it might have been unfair to expect a completely new vehicle seperate from the lineup. The lead time on a truly new Ferrari might be a decade or more. But that price tag needs to beget something far more exclusive and unique than a rebodied F12, IMHO.

Doesn't matter. This vehicle was made for auto collectors. Investors know this car, despite what it really is, will eventually increase in value to the point where the price was not an issue to begin with. 'Tis the economic way. Exclusive vehicle, exclusive money.

In the price range for me it's P1 or GTFO. Love the P1.

Don't care, still want it. Of course by the time I'm ready to sell it, any Ferrari "purist" would probably cry from how used it is.

Still the only way to buy a new V12 Ferrari convertible.

I hate Ferrari.

Seriously, every time I read Ferrari news it sounds like they're just making things exclusive for the sake of being exclusive. The brand has become as much of a douchebag as their typical clientele.

I've never really lusted over their newer stuff, but the more time that goes by the less I care about anything the company does. Give me a Lamborghini or McLaren any day over a Ferrari.

If you think about it, this is pretty similar to, but less extreme than, what Lamborghini does with cars like the Veneno and Sesto Elemento. They're based on regular production car mechanicals but built in super low quantities and sold for millions of dollars.

I might check this car out tomorrow. But I must say, it's pretty ugly in pictures. And Ferrari needs to kill all their wheel designers that seem to think we're all from Miami. Californians don't like shitty looking wheels.

Here's a fine looking Ferrari to make up for my rant.
