Does Esteban race with glasses?

Does anyone knows if he does? Or if its just for reading the data on the computer? Also have there been other drivers before with need for glasses?

Maybe he uses contacts, because there's no way someone can race a modern F1 car with their glasses on and not shaking all around due to vibration and all the Gs... unless they glued them onto his face, which is unlikely. Also I guess wearing glasses under your helmet while racing goes against some safety regulations, you don't want plastic compressing onto your face if something goes wrong.

I'm not so sure. I mean Neuville and Latvala fboth wear glasses, and they have vibration and impacts from bumps/jumps to contend with.

Also, for reference, I wore sunglasses under my helmet when I did the Vegas to Reno desert race. Thanks in part to the glasses being wedged between head and helmet they didn't shift in the slightest.

Not quite true. There are a number of drivers who prefer the security of glasses over the risk of loosing a co tact under 4 G braking. The stay very secure in your helmet unless you crash head on.

I know Sebastian Bourdais wears them in Indycar, WEC and when he drove F1.

This guy seems ok with them as well.

Sébastien Bourdais has worn glasses under his helmet (AFAIK) his whole career.

Formula 3000, ChampCar, IndyCar, Endurance car racing, and Formula One

I think he does race with glasses. Hulkenberg used to use contacts, but has since had the laser surgery.

Jordan Taylor races with his glasses in Tudor.

One of my good friends drives with his for AutoX and track days all the time, no problems.

A proper fitting helmet will hold them in place, and I know some helmets even have cutouts for glasses to fit more comfortably. I used my sunglasses the last session at my track day since the sun was going down, and it was fine.
