More specifically one with the 4 banger. For... reasons.

Yes I have, with the great manual transmission too.
Bottom line: it would be a good commuter that's decently fun to drive for what it is. Most exciting in its class IMO.

My uncle has a manual sport and seems to love it.

I had a 2013 6-speed EX manual sedan but traded it in after a year for a TDI Sportwagen. I liked it (ride, spacious cabin, style) but found the steering to be somewhat dull.

Thanks!

Yeah, thinking of getting one cause it's super affordable and even leasing for $200 a month for a couple years or so would be cheaper than buying and maintaining a used car.

You can get one in black, sport trim, manual, with a sunroof for $22ish. You can negotiate it even lower too. Not a bad choice at all.

It's the best in the class for sure. Solid car and gets superb mileage. Get a Sport, if not a EX-L.

I would have to get the CVT unfortunately. No way I'm driving manual in NYC and Long Island (traffic).

Dojn't think I want to spend the money on an EX-L
Sport I can probably get behind though,

I've driven one on work trips. Great car on the highway... comfortable and holds people and things well. The CVT was alright, apparently if you get the sport it will give you fake gears, but I didn't find it too rubber-bandy.
I didn't like the steering wheel though, the texture on it was uncomfortable to me after driving a few hours.

I've driven a cvt sport edition, ama.
Ps, buy a lightly used tsx for a bit more if rear seat space isn't a huge goal.

Drive a new Mazda 6 first...

I spent a while in one last year. Very comfy and spacious, and surprisingly high-quality. Engine seemed good.

I have 13,000 miles on mine. I'm impressed.

for the love of god, get the stick. I know you're in NYC, but please. the Accord sport 6-speed is a sleeper if I ever drove one. it is amazing. the CVT? not so much... it's sucky at best and piss poor at worst. please, please, please, get the stick

Sweet!

I am not a fan of the TSX. I've driven my cousin's 2010 and while it's nice, it is way too cramped.

Good to know. A steering wheel cover or if I look at a Sport it would have a leather wrapped whel.

Also, I can't drive stick. I asked Orlove to teach me but his Lexus has issues at the moment.
If I am learning stick, I might as well learn in a car with a dildo shifter.

Yeah, it's an easy fix. An excuse to get some driving gloves too.

Another thing is that my sister would probably drive it as well, so manual really wouldn't be an option for her.

You can't get the Sport with a sunroof...as of 2013 at least. I almost traded my S60R for one, and the dealer had to throw in a custom sunroof.

Have you driven a mazda 6? I've heard good things about the automatic trans in those, and it has a manual mode if you feel like having some say in what gear the car will use. I'm not sure if you can get as good of a deal on one as you can on the accord though.

We will begin a fund if you'd like.
"The give Nibby a dildo shift knob to learn stick using."
You could probably get off the lot with minimal knowledge though, and if you found the right salesperson he'd probably teach you.
Just show up with this, and proclaim that it's a personal preference.

Cool, even if I get the CVT one I can just screw that onto it. :D
The salesman at my local Honda dealer are pretty chill. They let me take a new Civic around for a joyride when I was 18.

Haha, And if somebody tries to criticize your choice.... You know what to tell them.

If you don't get a Sport you an get the leather rim from Honda for $150.

Then I'd recommend the Honda Accord 100%. The same person that has the '14 has an '09 with 230k miles. Only problem was a rear caliber recently. Having driven both plenty of times, the '14 feels much more in terms of quality. Even the cvt isn't bad, even though I'd prefer a stick. They make for great dd's though. He's averaging way into the high 30s lifetime.

oh, ok I didn't know that...
Well, don't buy an accord until you learn stick!
If I were in your area, you could use the GLI, but unless you wanna fly out to seattle, that ain't happening

I could've sworn you could. I know you can get manual+sunroof

Thanks for the offer but Seattle is only on the other coast :P
