These are great "GT" cars and well worth a little attention.
There are a couple of things you need to keep in mind.
Ford engineers and designers were targeting BMW 6 series buyers. A sleek body, adjustable suspension, and a Supercharged Six Shooter checked off several boxes.
There were still Brougham Babies out there and they were the Bird's target audience.
The poor interior guys got shorted. They had to come up with an interior design that suits 1977 better than 1989.
So Leather was not an option on my particular Bird (It was an option though).
I'm digging the Whorehouse Red and it's in good shape so it stays.
The heart of the beast.
In stock form ya ain't gonna win any drag races. But with 310 "torques" at 2600 rpm she can swing her tail very well.
Not mine though.. My girl needs new injectors and a top to bottom scrubbing.

OOOOOHHH a blower...
I liked the turbo coupes from the 80's. Know a guy with an original one and it has a certain coolness about it

That'd be interesting but she has to stay Essex powered.
