I will never grow tired of this combo. It is simply a thing of beauty. Major points to the seller for posting a picture of him doing a burnout in the ad.

That first picture does not look real to me.

See the link, there's more than one burn out picture plus the rubber on the ground to prove it.

Volvo V8 you say?

LS1 + Stick + functional A/C? Worth every penny of whatever it goes for, because you don't often get all three of those in the same swap package.

I want to do this to my 960 SOOO bad. The sad thing is that I would get much better fuel economy if I did the swap too

I keep dreaming of a 140 or a 160 with a 4.2 V8 Audi Diesel, THAT would be awesome.

Yup I have a similar issue with my land cruiser. the 4.5L straight 6 is an under-powered pig (9-10 MPG city). A LS motor should and will bump that up nicely.

I don't know what the problem with the 960 is. It has a 3L I6 with 200 ft/lbs (I think) so it's not really underpowered. I think it's the transmission, it cranks at 2700 going 70 on the highway. It devours fuel like that. An extra cog would do quite nicely

Neat :) I wonder if the 4.4l Yamaha V8 from an XC90 would fit...

Would make the manual part more difficult, but would certainly make the purists happier.

We've stuffed V12s into BMW 3-series here in Scandinavia, a measly 4.4 V8 will fit like a glove in a 740. :)

Good point :) checking out Speedhunters every now and again and you can usually guess which cars are Swedes. It's usually the ones like '7.4l big-block in Volvo Amazon' :)

Hehe, yeah, the swedes likes to stuff V8's in Volvos, in Norway we're more like "I wonder if this V12 will fit in an E30.."
