They should just break one of his legs and call it a day. That idiot could have killed somebody. He can drive automatics in the meantime

They should have him pistol-whipped by the NYPD.

Speaking of NYPD. Did you notice our SWAT guys arrested 4 terrorists last week without firing a shot !!

Being a young English male, Insurance companies pretty much hate me and I hate them too but knowing that they will essentially price this idiot off the road does win some goodwill points.

Depends on the charge, he's plead guilty to "causing a nuisance to the public by driving on to the race track at Brands Hatch whilst an endurance race was in progress". Which I don't think will come up on his driving history.

Saying yes to one of these makes your claim skyrocket if you're young so I'm guessing he won't be driving for a while. Plus He must of been put of some form of blacklist.

What would happen if he just said no?

If four terrorists were arrested without anyone firing a shot, then it wasn't the NYPD SWAT.

He would be committing fraud and face 10 years in prison.

But would the insurance company look up his record if he said no?

Yup. They do some background checking and give you the opportunity to correct your details otherwise they just reject it.

Sorry I meant the UK's SWAT. Known as the TSG (Territorial Support Group) over here.

I guess "non-motoring convictions" would count. Although my insurance company only asks for motoring convictions. I presume that insurance companies have some sort of illegal blacklist (like the construction companies used to have).

It makes me wonder why they would even bother asking the question if they're going to get the truth anyway.

legal reasons probably

The TSG probably gave them a stern warning and a look of disapproval.
