Reposting because pretty much nobody saw my wonderful prose.
The sun is shining brightly.
Autumn is in the air.
A cool breeze descends upon me;
It tussles up my hair.
I walk across the parking lot
to where you sit and wait.
You roar to life from slumber
then lead me through the gate.
A smile spreads across my face
as we roll on down the street.
We pass distracted motorists
doing make-up in their seats.
It's just a short ride around the town
that reminds me who you are.
And as we go I wonder why
we never go that far.
I thought of letting go of you,
of telling you goodbye.
But when we are together
I feel like I can fly.
It's terribly unfortunate
that this feeling soon will pass.
But so long as you start up each day
I'll keep filling you with gas.
Embarrassed by your quirks at times
like the exhaust pop and clap.
Entranced by the thunderous echo
of open throttle braaaaap.
I'll take the bad with the good
and do the best I can.
For when it all comes down to it
I'm still your biggest fan.
My fragile life is in your hands
the road would hurt me if it could.
But trust is all I have for you.
To me, you're two wheels good.
(My 1995 Suzuki Intruder VS1400)
I don't think I have ever demonstrated my writing abilities here on Oppo but I had to get these lines down. Many of them came to me this morning on the ride to work and it was all I could think about as I started my morning routine in the office. I have been fortunate to enjoy the New England weather before it gets too cold...hopefully this trend continues for just a little longer.
Happy Friday, everyone. Hope you all have a great day and weekend.

My riding buddy has a 1400 Intruder with drag pipes and a beefy clutch. It sounds bitchin and launches freakin hard. Enjoy that beast!
