Thom Richards is flying his Rolls-Royce Griffon-powered P-51 around the pylons during practice for this year's Reno Air Races. Just after rounding Pylon 3, a fuel delivery problem causes the engine to quit. Watch as Richards reacts instantly to the problem and performs a safe deadstick landing on Runway 14. The gyro on the video camera, sadly, freaks out just prior to landing. But Richards' text commentary continues on the video.

Too bad he was disqualified after placing third in the gold class on a questionable judgement.
