Is a NP now, but two years ago, CP. They really are going up in price, but damn if I'll ever sell my baby.

I'd keep looking. Thing is, most 02 owners want them to stay cheap because they enjoy them and own multiple. So, your best bet is to hold off and find a proper owner that knows these cars and has taken care of them. Sure, they are going up in price, but the majority of us, myself included, still want them to be affordable. It's basically the opposite of any muscle car. And the NADA values are kinda bullshit. You can find a runner for under $2000 and still have a very solid and fun car. The best thing I can recommend is getting on BMW 2002 FAQ and also joining the BMW 2002 Facebook page. With those two resources you should be able to find a decent car with some patience and they are the best places for information. Reach out and make connections. Ask around, someone might be willing to part with one other theirs. Like I said, many owners have more than one.
