Just curious. I bet we all have that one dream car we'd snap up in a heartbeat. I'm sure we all have a list of dream cars we would love to buy as well. But, for you, what's the car you would like to grab first?
For me, it's...a General Lee replica. I love the Charger itself, and I grew up on Dukes reruns. Most four or five-year-olds watched Barney. Me? I turned it to TNN and watched all the Dukes of Hazzard reruns I could. Yes, I know the show was cheesy and the acting was lame. That didn't matter to childhood me. I loved the General and loved seeing it do those totally unrealistic jumps.
Of course, once I had my General Lee replica, I'd have a Tesla Model S, a Mercedes-Benz SLR AMG, a Buick GSX, etc. But, I digress.
TL;DR What's the first expensive or inexpensive car you'd buy if you suddenly got millions of dollars via the lottery or whatever?

Ford RS200
Then E46 M3

It probably also is the only cure to my chronic depression.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 20:19 |

Honestly whatever car my Dad wants, because I don't think he has ever owned a car he really wanted. Otherwise probably a E28 M5, that I would daily drive.

1964 Ford Country Squire/Galaxie Wagon and 2 FRPP 5.0 Coyote crate engines . (one for this Galaxie and one for my '95 Cobra)
Other cars would be a M1009 CUCV, BA Aussie Falcon, EB Falcon GT, build a Bentley Speed 8 replica car, Aston Martin Rapide for the wife and a F350 diesel and a big car trailer.

I wouldn't buy.
I've actually thought this through. I would hook up with these fine folks and, hopefully, build my own 300 SLR. I'd happily pay them royalties or whatnot for their blueprints, and buy all the machining tools and other tools to put one together in my very own new, fully stocked garage with high-quality lift, etc.

Hummer H2
Because fuck the haters, I want THE big ass american SUV that makes ZERO sense.
It helps that the 2008+ ones had a 6.2L V8 making almost 400 horsepower, and the interiors didn't seem half bad, unlike the early H2s.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 20:29 |

I'd search the whole country for a clean AW11—N/A hardtop. I'd buy this car first because it's pretty time sensitive, they'll only get rarer...
edit: I wouldn't buy the cleanest one I could find, just a clean one. I'd plan to modify it and I couldn't do that to a total cream puff. Unethical.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 20:30 |

Honestly, first I'd probably get an '08 Outback simply because my current daily is about to die and I need a replacement practical DD. After that though, I'd go out and get myself a Ford RS200 Evolution
EDIT: OR A PRERUNNER!!!!

I would be hard pressed not to think of getting Gulf Raving livery. In the end, just so I don't look pretentious, I would probably go dark blue(I don't know the special name they had for it).

You have made the correct decision.

I'd go for the H1 instead. Not many cars have a center console as wide as a refrigerator.

Had no idea you leaned towards Tungsten. I love Tungsten and thought it was an awesome color when it came out. I always wanted a Grabber Blue Mustang with Tungsten Stripes.

I'd do something even more ridiculous, customize my '98 Taurus so it's basically a new high end car. And then tackle the bug I just bought.

Easy.
Ford GT.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 20:37 |

Fine choices. The dark blue you're referring to is Midnight Blue Metallic. Also, the ones with Gulf Racing livery are known as "Heritage Editions."

I'm surprised.

Nether did I until I was looking up interior photos! Of course, I wonder why they don't just have a four-wide bench seat. I'd assume the cabin clears the driveshaft mostly, so there can't be much inside of that huge thing.

I don't care if it's unoriginal
I don't car if it's overrated
I don't care if it's too obvious
Until the day arrives when I get one, this will forever be my answer. Bone stock and in white, please.
![]() 10/08/2014 at 20:41 |

I did not know they came from the factory that way. In that case I would for sure get one because I wouldn't feel like as big of a douche.

I like to think of this game in a real manner.
If I win the lottery, I need to collect my winnings in Topeka. I'd rent a car, drive to Topeka, get my money, and buy the first manual Corvette I can find nearby. C6 or C7. I'd use that to get home, take it to the dealer I bought my Sonic from, and order a C7 Z06.
Then I'd find a C6 ZR1 and I'd order an R8.

An unrestored C10 in good condition. To be reliable enough to get me to all the many other cars I will by and humble to keep me grounded. It was this or a Mazda2.

That dark blue is Midnight Blue. I would take one in any color, but Tungsten Grey just does it for me.

They did indeed. In fact, they are actually the rarest and most valuable of all the GTs because only 343 were produced.

High $300,000s for a high mileage one (~18,000 miles) and low $500,000s for a low mileage one (~1,000 miles).
Be sure you get one with all 4 options. They are painted stripes (for the Heritage its called the "Blue/Orange Heritage Paint Liv Heritage Racing Stripe" on the window sticker), painted brake calipers (red or grey), lightweight forged aluminum wheels (they'll be called "lightweight forged alum whls" on the window sticker), and McIntosh stereo (called "Mcintosh AM/FM W/Single CD" on window sticker).

That sounds easily worth it. Then get a knack eres out GT and ship it to a tuner to make insane.

An XFR. I need a new daily with room for child seat in the back, might as well have something beautiful.
But the first thing I would buy, is a bigger garage. A much bigger garage.

First time seeing interior pics of these. The parking brake and gear stick are exactly the same as a current Humvee.

If you're thinking of tuning your GT, there are four options. A pulley and tune (most people use the Ford Racing Kit), a bigger supercharger (most people go with the 4.0L Whipple), twin turbocharging, or a combination of the stock supercharger with twin turbos (also known as twincharging). The two main shops that perform these modifications are Heffner Performance and Hennessey Performance. Heffner only does Whipple and Twin Turbo setups, while Hennessey does all three.
Whipple:
Twin Turbo (Heffner's shown):
Twincharging (Hennessey):
You should also consider the GTX1 modification that allows your GT to be a hardtop, T-top, or convertible just by removing or installing a few panels:

2014 Shelby 1000
Cause 660 hp is too low.
Also turn my beloved 03 miata into what i really want it to be
(Current pic of it)
Also my mom would get a new Mustang GT
My dad would get a 69 Camaro like he used to have
And then my Brother and his family would get a new kid hauler of their choice (they have 4 kids).
Then my sister and her husband would get a new Toyota 4runner to replace their current one

I would buy a Vanquish or DB9 Coupe, preferably in a sage green type color. I would then immediately send my current car in to the best shop I could find and have it undergo a total showroom restoration, and keep it as my DD. Then I'd buy a G Classe for bad winter days.

The first car I'd buy would be the only one I'm aware of that I could buy from my smartphone, a Tesla Model S P85D. Unfortunately I wouldn't actually be able to have that car for a few months so I'd immediately go out looking for something else.
If I'm lucky, that something else would be a GT-R. Switzer is based very close to me, so I'd immediately give them a call and see if they either had or knew of anything streetable from Ultimate Street Edition on up available for sale at that moment. If so, sold. There's my new daily driver until the Tesla comes in.
If not, I'd probably then head straight for the nearby dealer row. I'm a BMW guy, but I'd stop at Audi first on the ever so slight chance that there was an R8 around, then look at the RS7 as a second choice. Failing either of those I'd go over to BMW where I'd hope at least one of the M3s on their lot was manual, or if not that they had an M6GC.
On the way back I'd swing in to the Dodge dealer and put in an order for each of the Hellcats.
