As you may or may not know. I went to Norway to document why the electric car is so popular and if there's a chance of that popularity being replicated in Canada. If you want to know anything about electric cars in Norway or Norwegian car culture ask away!

Some people seem to think Norwegians are cold and rude (we're not, we just need a beer first :P ), but you obviously met just the right people then.

I think in some parts of Canada we could get similar levels of electric cars. Toronto seems to be full of them (and for good reason) I drive a V8 'murica mobile downtown and it kills me sometimes barely getting double digit economy in heavy traffic. There are loads of Teslas (even the roadster!) and the occasional electric VW van conversion which is awesome.
But in Alberta electric cars have a long way to go to catch on. We use the outlets in parking lots for the necessary block heater. and today's $0.39/L 1984 gas prices stunt in Edmonton to celebrate Shell's 30th year of their refinery it might take some work to convince people to ditch their F-150's used as a family car for a Leaf.
