I respectfully disagree. It should look no more modern than it currently does. There is room in the market for an old school SUV and the Wrangler should continue to fill that niche. That Defender concept makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm very curious what a next gen Wrangler will look like, the last few iterations have all looked roughly the same. I definitely think it should carry on in a manner that gives a nod to its classic design cues, but I could use some refreshing changes as well.

I think the new Wrangler should split the difference between the old one and the Cherokee. So it looks more modern, but not futuristic and spaceship-y.
The red Defender above looks awesome though. It's like they took an FJ Cruiser and added real windows to it.
