While attending the 2014 Classic Gaming Expo in Vegas I found this at the Videogame History Museum collection.
Does anybody know how somebody could of picked these up when they original came out?
The guys that run the museum are trying to figure out if these were promotional items for the game release, or if they are collectables that came out after?
I saw them on ebay but nobody mentioned how they got them.
Thanks for your time.

i live in vegas and never heard of this, lol. Is it all console games or is there a lot of PC games too? To me no classic gaming expo would be complete without Pools of Radiance or Wing Commander

The expo was for consoles, computers, and arcade machines. If you want to check it out go to cgexpo.com. It's a smaller event but I had a great time.

I found a couple of threads there, but nobody seems to know how they were originally released. I was hoping maybe a diecast collector here on oppo would know something.

It's a very rare Gran Turismo 1 Tomica Box Sset.
It's released as commercial model just like regular box set you can buy in stores in Japan. Tomica really love making set like these if there's a new big JDM thing arround. It consist of the finest selection of GT1 cars. Tomica as far as i know only made the GT1 and GT2 series. Here's the one from GT2:
And here's an example of the regular box set from Initial D for comparasion:

If you could play games on it, they're more than happy to show it off.
