I made it home after more than 7 years in the US. So thought Id go look around and see what changed in my absence, and I found my first car still running and the Neptune blue paint job looking as great as the last day I saw it back in 2002. Albeit probably needs to be polished and needs some new tyres. I would have loved to take the old girl out for a spin after soo many years, but couldn't find the current owner.
Note the special touches, Car was from 93 I put on the 97 front grill , the car came with bias ply tyres, changed them out to 14" radials and the art leather interior colour combo, black with grey inserts. This option was awesome in the Indian heat believe me, and the car didn't have Air conditioning.

It's awesome to see that a well-loved car from your past is still around. When my parents sold the Audi 100 Avant that I'd basically grown up in, it still brought a smile to my face to see it around every once in a while. I pulled a history report on it not that long ago, and it's apparently still on the road somewhere!
On the other hand, I had a recent reason to feel guilty, being on the other end of a sighting like this: I bought a Volvo 850R from a neighbour for less than half the asking price, because it broke down on a test drive and then wouldn't start again. It only took an evening of work to find the electrical problem that caused the issue, and I was driving it around the next day. I desperately hope that he didn't see me – he's never said anything about it, but I still feel guilty for having paid so little for it when it was such a simple fault!

Yeah , I would as well, but probably would struggle to keep up with traffic, mine would take an eternity to get up to 70mph

Oh, I would just use it for city driving.

First cars and the cars you have grown up in generally have that effect on us car enthusiasts. Seeing this car actually brought back soo many memories, my dad bought it new from the showroom, our first new car ever. It definitely makes me feel happy that it is still around.
850R been looking for one for too long. I think sometimes people are just glad they sold the car, and generally dont dwell too much on what happens after the sale, unless the guy who sold it was also a car guy as well. For me atleast I always count the time from when I acquired the car, that's when it all begins for me.
