If it wasn't so damn expensive it would've been my first Hybrid car.

me too. But yeah a little too much money indeed.

There is no way I can disagree with that. I've always been a fan of the CT200h since it came out. Wouldn't mind having one.

The new 14 F-Sports are really very fine looking compact cars.
However, they drive like a Pious. Some real tires and not the shitty economy ones they come with would help tremendously. Lowering springs would also go a long way to improve tossability.
The real problem is that they have no balls. Unless you drive it in "Sport" they struggle to get out of their own way. What Toyota needs to do is drop their new 2.0L Turbo in one without the Hybrid BS. That would be crazy fun to drive.

A friend has one. It's literally a luxury prius. At least it'll depriciate like there's no tomorrow

I understand it's not a driver's car. But from a practical DD perspective it seems pretty good.

love the looks, hate the...all else.

It isn't a driver's car, but as sm70 said, it makes a pretty good city car.

Especially here, where it costs 50k.

I couldn't think of a better car to drive in the city, but for 40K I got the Tribeca.

But a luxury prius in city traffic isn't a bad idea.

If only it wasn't a Lexus.
I'd still not like it much.
But I'd like it a little bit more.
In other words, I don't like Lexus.

Why not?

Pretty much because they think they are hot shit, While all of their cars look like vacuum cleaners and fictional characters from science fiction movies.

Have you actually driven the new IS? The upcoming NX and RC are astoundingly good.
I won't argue with anyone that the ES and RX are an absolute bore. But Lexus is not the bland, tired, old, slightly more luxurious Toyota product it once was.
Seriously, if you can't find something positive in the IS, then you're just being elitist.

I just find them hideous, and don't really care to drive one besides the Is300.
The new IS is a little bit meh to me, I'm still not sold on the styling though.

You can't tell how a car drives based on the styling. Go DRIVE one and see what you think.
That said, the styling is certainly polarizing. It's much better in person than in photos, but since styling is also subjective, I won't argue that you can't dislike it. Everyone likes different things.
I will also give you that it needs a manual. Most people don't care about that anymore sadly, so for them it's really a very engaging sedan to drive.

Yup, If I get the chance. I'll drive one.

...What? What auto manufacturer is humble?

The ones that no longer exist :o
But I was getting real tired of them placing themselves above the Germans, when the Germans obviously had a better product.

I prefer Lexus' design philosophy over the dull appliances the Germans are shitting out.
