Compared to the exotic car rental firms that's actually a pretty good deal. I'm very strongly considering it...

"$350 a day"
"150 mile limit"

That's pretty cool, pity about the 150 mile limit. I could knock that off in 2 hours on the highway.
Pretend to be very interested in buying one and ask for a two hour test drive, haha.

I guess it all depends on what kind of miles you put on the car. 150 track miles for $350 would be a smoking deal :)

Certainly. But if someone give me a C7 Vette I'm going want to spend all day hitting every rural backcountry road in San Diego county ;)

The Corvette could knock off 150 miles in under one hour on the right highway.

Are those roads awesome? Never tried them

true, I was speaking in somewhat legally attainable terms.
Which is an interesting question though, how comfortable is a corvette maintaining a speed near its top speed (which I imagine is higher), so lets say we maintain a speed of 170. Disregarding running out of fuel. That's gotta strain the car pretty good, haha.

if he looks respectable and drives a nicer car he can get it for an entire day!

Haha it was amazing how much more seriously I got taken at a dealership when I rolled up in an '06 Ford Fivehundred (not the greatest, but not a piece of junk). As opposed to rolling up in my falling-apart-airbags-missing-muffler-broken-taped-up-windows-1997-jetta.
I imagine if I pull up in my '10 Taurus SHO, I could test drive some sweet cars :D

you should have seen the look on the salesmen when I drove up in my (now deceased ) 95 maxima that had dents all over, paint missing, and smoked like a freight train (368K on it when traded). I was driving it to get parts for my A6 (go figure)

Oh yeah, there are a lot of great roads! East County is amazing. Julian, Ramona, Anza-Borrego, Campo, Potrero, etc...lots of great roads and beautiful scenery. I'm planning to take a huge loop as the first thing I do when I get my next car (which will be a proper sports car)

That's why I said "On the right highway". I hope the Corvette, fuel and tires notwithstanding, could do 170 all day.

Sweet!
Let me know when you get that next car and I'll come down to do the drive!

Awesome! Will do. I need to deal with my real estate situation first. Hopefully someone will buy my place when I re-list it.

Good luck!
Real estate is so tough. I hope prices don't crash again. I decided to rent out my last place instead of selling it cause I couldn't get the price I wanted.

Yeah, it's been a frustrating experience. I so want to move on. If I can't sell I might just rent it out.

An extended test drive would be great.
150 mile is tight, but it's more than any other place I looked.

I totally feel ya!

It is, but as I pointed out that's actually a pretty good deal for these sort of things. There was a place blunion showed me that was $300 and only 60 miles.
What I really don't get is the discrepancy between a Corvette and a Camaro SS. Camaro SS from Hertz is like $150 a day and I'm pretty sure that's unlimited miles. Makes no sense

I don't know if it works if the car is too new though.
I pull up in a 2013 and it's like 'really? that thing is still new'

Do it. How much $ per mile past 150?
