Easy to work on because 5.0 and AOD. Aftermarket parts availability if you wish for the same reason. I wonder if the AODs in these were standard fare or had some upgrades. That's a lot of vehicle and at full towing capacity, I'd want reassurance that it's not gonna pop the inner output shaft on an incline. The unique bits will be expensive to replace when needed. If that includes a lot of electrical parts and wiring I would steer away from it unless you absolutely are enamored with it.

I wonder what insuring this thing is like as well.

If it were me and then wanted them s bad enough, $8,500.
