anti-theft device?

Is that car in that much danger of being stolen? Or is this guy just totally OCD?

It's a Toyota Auris, the car that replaced the Corolla in most of Europe. It's a car so boring, joyriders would run away crying if you were to try to hand them your Auris keys. So I have no idea what's going on here.

The hulk stole his last car by carrying it away.
Don't judge.

Anti-thief device. A rudimental one indeed.

Auris only replaced hatchback Corolla. The car pictured is the last generation European Corolla hatch.

You're right, it is the last gen Corolla hatch. My mistake.
The Auris replaced the both the Corolla hatch and (eventually) wagon. I don't think there's a sedan, but that's irrelevant here anyway as there's virtually no demand for compact sedans at all (here). There hasn't been a new Corolla (sedan or otherwise) been available in the Netherlands for 4 years or so.

Oh yeah, they introduced the Auris wagon recently. I almost forgot that. They never discontinued the sedan, the new generation sedan went on sale last year.

They did? I haven't seen that car before, but the likeliness with the Auris is clear.
Now that I think about it, I recall seeing a Corolla billboard in Warsaw last summer, when I was there on holiday. It struck me as odd, as like I mentioned it's been discontinued years ago where I live, but apparently this was only a 'local' discontinuation.

At least it's been sold here in Finland all along. There's also somewhat big market for small sedans in eastern Europe.
