It shares the same engine and trans as an Evo x, so the engine mount should be the same, right? Hypothetically, if I wanted to swap an engine and transmission (same twin clutch), it should fit right in, right?

Also, does anyone have a website that has technical diagrams of cars (like where the holes to mount engines are, and how long the parts are and stuff (like a blueprint of the car)).

How do you like your Ralliart? One is pretty high on my list of "next cars"

Or Lancer Register, the ultimate Lancer website. You would probably need have the paid membership to get the diagrams, but it would be worth. The site is great,

Oh god. Don't do it, it's really not worth the mess. You're probably going to have to change out multiple control units, harnesses and mechanical parts. Your AWD system is different as well(I think).

I'll make a topic regarding my ralliart. I have mixed feelings, so I'm going to review it, since everyone asks me about it.

Class is starting, so I'll have to write it later.

Do you have a ballpark cost? I feel like whatever it is could be put towards buying a used Evo. A friend of mine has a Coyote 5.0L engine from a new Mustang in his 2001 Mustang. It's amazing, but for what he spent he could have bought a new one.

This makes it sound like the Ralliart is a detuned Evo already, with the main difference being a generation-old AWD system, and some ECU and engine bay bits changed out. A cursory google search reveals people just swapping in Evo manifolds and turbos with a tune to get the power.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I don't know anything about these at all, but just from this surface level information, you might not need a trans/engine swap at all if you just want your car to be as fast as an evo.

?

My ralliart cost me 15k. I'm not trying to swap the engine, I was just wondering hypothetical.

I meant cost for the engine swap. Those are usually in the thousands, personal preference but I would rather save it to buy an Evo.

Yes, the Ralliart is a detuned Evo. Same Evo X engine, Evo IX drivetrain, and Evo X transmission. However, this was just a hypothetical about swapping.

I've owned an Evo for.. eight years now? And never heard of this website.

I fear change, but will browse all the same.

Well, after being just beat after class, I'll say this. It depends. If your budget is over 20k, then no. Get an Focus ST or something else.

The thing handles like nothing I've ever driven. Aside from some understeer, I have been able to enter decelerations lanes from the highway at over 80mph, without losing traction. The 4WD really kicks in. It's quick and can drive at over 130mph without any wobbling.

However, the problem comes in its transmission. Theres no manual, which I hate, and the transmission is german. Lots of people have reported problems with it. They haven't even modded it. I haven't modded my car in fear that my trans die. The transmission when it does work is actually great feeling. It shifts fast, and the paddles feel nice.

When I bought my Ralliart, I got it from a dealership which lost its license to sell Fords, so they were trying to offload all their stock before closing. I simply walked into the dealership, told the guy I wanted the Ralliart, and that I was going to give him cash straight up. 15K. He took it.

Really, had the price not been there, I wouldn't have gotten it.
